Natural Falls State Park
Natural Falls drops 77 feet over a sandstone ledge into a clear pool that’s perfect for swimming when water levels are up. The falls run strongest in spring and after heavy rains, sometimes reduced to a trickle during dry summers. A short quarter-mile trail from the parking area leads to the base, while an overlook trail provides views from the top. The site appeared in the 1974 film ‘Where the Red Fern Grows.’
Access is via paved park roads with ample parking. The swimming hole depth varies dramatically with rainfall — check current conditions before making the drive. No camping on-site, but Robbers Cave State Park is 45 minutes southeast for overnight options.
