Husky Gas Station — Gold River BC
Gold River is the last real town before you push west into serious Vancouver Island backcountry — the Nootka Sound FSR, Bedwell River Road to Della Falls, and the run up to Zeballos all branch off routes through or near here. The Husky station in town handles gas and diesel. There’s also a small grocery store (Overwaitea Foods) and a hardware store in town if you need supplies or basic spares. Nothing fancy, but it’s exactly what you need before the pavement ends for good.
Gold River itself sits on Highway 28, well paved, year-round access. Once you leave town on the FSRs heading north or west, fuel availability drops to zero for 80–150 km depending on your route. Top up here regardless of what your gauge says.
