Grotte de Roquefort Camping Municipal

Established Campground

Perched on the edge of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, this small municipal campground offers 45 sites with electrical hookups, clean facilities, and views across the limestone plateaus of the Grands Causses. Most sites handle rigs up to 25 feet, with gravel pads and decent spacing under oak trees. The famous cheese caves are a 10-minute walk down into town, where you can tour Société and other producers. Hot showers, flush toilets, and a small camp store with basics keep things comfortable. The bread truck arrives each morning — pure French camping culture.

Open April through September, with reservations recommended during July-August peak season. The narrow access road through town requires careful navigation with larger rigs — scout it first or arrive outside business hours. This is your basecamp for exploring Tarn Gorge, Millau Bridge, and the wild Causse du Larzac plateau. Cell service is good, and the town has fuel, groceries, and ATMs within walking distance.
