This small BLM campground sits just five miles north of the Dalton Highway’s start in Livengood, offering a handful of well-spaced sites with fire rings and picnic tables. It’s a popular first-night stop for overlanders heading to Deadhorse, with vault toilets and a hand pump well providing potable water. The campground fills up during summer months when pipeline tourists and hunters converge on the Dalton.
Sites are first-come, first-served with no reservations. The access road is short and suitable for any vehicle, though the campground itself can get muddy during breakup season. No cell service, and campfires are permitted when fire restrictions aren’t in effect.
