Eagle Point Camping Ballylickey
Small family-run campground sitting right on Bantry Bay with the Caha Mountains rising behind. Mix of grass pitches and some hardstanding, with basic facilities that work fine for a few nights. The bay views are genuinely spectacular — you’re watching fishing boats head out while having morning coffee. Gets busy in July-August with European touring caravans.
Perfect staging point for the Beara Peninsula mountain tracks, about 15 minutes from Lauragh and the serious mountain driving. The owners know the local trails and can point you toward the less obvious routes. Book ahead in summer — it’s small and word has gotten out.
