Cave Springs Campground — Coconino National Forest
Cave Springs sits in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon on US-89A, about 12 miles north of Sedona. It’s a developed USFS campground with around 78 sites tucked under sycamores and cottonwoods along the creek — shaded, cool, and one of the more scenic developed camps in Arizona. Sites fill fast on weekends spring through fall. Expect crowds Memorial Day through Labor Day; shoulder seasons are the sweet spot. Fire restrictions are common in summer.
Access is straightforward paved road, so any rig makes it here. It’s a solid base for Schnebly Hill Road and the wider Sedona red rock network. Water and flush toilets on-site. Reservations are strongly recommended — this place books weeks out in peak season. Check recreation.gov ahead of your trip.
