BLM Willow Creek Gulch Dispersed Area
A string of informal sites tucked into Willow Creek’s dry wash, offering decent wind protection and scattered juniper shade. The creek runs intermittently — don’t count on water, but the geography creates natural camping pockets that work for rigs up to about 25 feet. Fire rings are established at most spots, though bring your own firewood. Gets busy during cooler months when Death Valley crowds overflow.
Access via a rough dirt road that branches west from Highway 190. High-clearance recommended for the last two miles, which cross several small washes. No facilities, no cell service. Best spring through fall when temperatures drop below furnace levels.
