BLM Long Term Visitor Area Quartzsite
Sprawling BLM camping area covering several thousand acres of flat desert scrub. Popular winter destination for snowbirds, van lifers, and overlanders, with scattered camps spread across the bajada. No facilities except pit toilets, but town is close for supplies. Gets crowded January through March during gem and mineral show season.
Access via multiple dirt roads from US-95. Some areas require high clearance due to washes, but most sites accessible to any vehicle. 14-day limit, but you can move to adjacent areas. Bring water, shade, and firewood. Cell service spotty but improves closer to town.
