Bahía Inglesa Municipal Campground
This municipal campground sits directly on Bahía Inglesa’s famous white sand beach, about 5 kilometers south of Caldera. The sites are informal — mostly open sandy areas where you can park parallel to the beach. Facilities include basic toilets and cold-water showers, plus a small kiosk selling snacks and ice. The beach here rivals anything in the Caribbean, with calm turquoise water perfect for swimming. Expect crowds on weekends and holidays, but weekdays are usually quiet.
Access is via a paved road from the main coastal highway. The campground gate is sometimes unmanned — ask at the kiosk or in town about current fees. Wind can be fierce in the afternoons, so secure loose gear. No reservations needed, but arrive early during Chilean vacation periods in January and February.
