Manzanita Campground — Coconino National Forest
Manzanita is the most intimate developed campground in Oak Creek Canyon, with just 19 sites tucked between the canyon wall and the creek on US-89A. The site density is low, the trees are thick, and the creek noise drowns out whatever neighbor you do have. It books out faster than the bigger Canyon camps. No hookups, no frills — fire rings, tables, vault toilets, and cold creek water nearby. Fire restrictions apply in dry years.
Paved access, fits any rig, but the tight loop makes longer trailers difficult — know your turning radius before you pull in. About 10 miles north of Sedona, making it a solid base for Schnebly Hill Road or a Sedona day layover. Reserve on recreation.gov or miss it entirely on peak weekends.
