Pine Flat Campground — Coconino National Forest
Pine Flat is a developed USFS campground in upper Oak Creek Canyon on US-89A, a few miles above Cave Springs. Around 58 sites spread across both sides of the highway, with some sitting right on the creek bank. Tall ponderosa and sycamore overhead, cold creek water nearby — it earns its name. Popular with families and the weekend Sedona crowd, so weekends in May through September are loud and packed. Reserve well ahead or show up on a Tuesday.
All-paved access means any tow rig or large trailer handles it fine. Flush toilets and potable water on-site. This is your last fully developed campground before the wild upper canyon. Schnebly Hill Road and the Sedona trailhead network are about 15 miles south — short staging run down the canyon.
