Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest — Bridge Creek Campground
Bridge Creek sits right where Bridge Creek meets the Methow River, about 7 miles north of Mazama on the Methow Valley road system. It’s a small, shaded campground — a handful of sites tucked under cottonwoods and ponderosa pines with direct creek access. No frills, no crowds mid-week, and close enough to Harts Pass staging that you can get eyes on the route before committing to the climb. Fire rings and vault toilets on site.
Access is straightforward on a paved-to-gravel county road. Snow closes things out by late October and the road back in can hold standing water in early spring. Cell service is essentially nonexistent once you drop into the valley. Confirm fire restrictions through the Methow Valley Ranger District before lighting anything — this corridor goes to Stage 2 fast in dry summers.
Creek-side staging for the Harts Pass corridor.
