Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest — Foggy Dew Campground

Established Campground

Foggy Dew sits along the Gold Creek Road corridor off the Twisp River drainage, shaded by ponderosa pine and larch at around 2,400 feet. It’s a small, no-frills USFS camp — vault toilet, a few sites that can handle rigs with trailers, and the creek running nearby in early season. Quiet mid-week; gets picked over by hikers on summer weekends heading up the Foggy Dew Trail toward Cooney Lake. Fires typically restricted mid-July through September — check with Methow Valley Ranger District before you roll in.

Access is via Gold Creek Road (FR 4340) off Highway 153 south of Twisp. Road is good gravel to the camp, suitable for high-clearance 2WD. Season runs roughly late May through October depending on snowpack. No reservations — first come, first served.

Methow foothills pine camp, no crowds mid-week.
