Mazama — Mazama Store and Fuel Stop
The Mazama Store is a genuine overland lifeline sitting at the edge of the Methow Valley, roughly 10 miles from the Hart’s Pass trailhead. They run fuel (gas), a well-stocked general store, deli, and a small wine and beer selection. This is where you top off your tank and your cooler before clawing up to Slate Peak. In summer it gets busy with hikers and PCT resupply crowds, but the staff know the roads and the conditions — worth asking before you head up the switchbacks.
The store sits right on Lost River Road at the edge of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest boundary. Verify hours before you roll — they close earlier than you’d expect for a place this critical to backcountry traffic. Cell service is spotty at best once you leave here heading west toward the pass.
Last fuel before Hart's Pass high country.
