Pelly River Territorial Campground — Pelly Crossing
This Yukon territorial campground sits on the banks of the Pelly River at Pelly Crossing, one of the handful of genuine service stops along the Klondike Highway north of Carmacks. It’s a well-used camp — outhouses, fire pits, picnic tables, and river access. The Selkirk First Nation community is right here, and the highway bridge and fuel stop are walking distance away. That combination of fuel, a real campsite, and river frontage makes this one of the more practical overnight spots on the whole Klondike corridor.
Any vehicle handles the access — it’s right off the highway. Summer is the busy season; expect a mix of overlanders, canoeists, and highway travelers. Water from the Pelly should be treated. Good launch point for routes pushing east toward the Riddell River highlands or north toward Stewart Crossing and Mayo.
River camp with fuel a short walk away.
