Ts’yl-os Provincial Park — Tatlayoko Lake Campground

Established Campground

Tatlayoko Lake Campground sits inside Ts’yl-os Provincial Park on the eastern shore of Tatlayoko Lake, with the glaciated mass of Ts’yl-os (Mount Tatlow) rising hard to the west. This is real Chilcotin country — open, wide, and quiet. The campground has basic sites with fire rings, a hand pump for water, and pit toilets. Expect gravel pull-throughs that handle bigger rigs. It fills on summer long weekends but stays mellow most of the season. The lake is cold and clean, moose are common at dusk, and black bears work the shoreline regularly.

Access is via Tatlayoko Lake Road off Highway 20, roughly 80 km south of Tatla Lake — the same corridor used to reach the Potato Mountains FSR. The road is gravel and generally passable by high-clearance 2WD in dry conditions, though soft spots appear after rain. Cell service is essentially nonexistent out here. This camp is your best frontcountry staging point before pushing into the Potato Mountains backcountry.
