Mungerannie Roadhouse

Mungerannie sits in splendid isolation about 210km north of Marree, serving as the only fuel and supply stop along the entire Birdsville Track. This classic outback roadhouse offers unleaded and diesel, cold drinks, basic groceries, and simple meals when the kitchen’s open. There’s a small camping area behind the building with basic facilities and minimal shade.

The roadhouse can be closed unexpectedly, so don’t rely on it completely for fuel – carry enough to reach Birdsville or return to Marree. When it’s operating, it’s a welcome sight after hours of red dirt and endless horizons.
