Massive BLM long-term visitor area that stretches across flat desert scrub south of Quartzsite. During peak season, it’s a small city of RVs, vans, and the occasional tent. Sites are mostly just cleared patches of desert – pick your spot and settle in. Vault toilets scattered throughout, potable water available at designated points.
Road conditions vary from decent gravel to soft sand depending on recent weather. Most accessible sections work fine for 2WD, but scout your route if rain’s been through. Popular with snowbirds October through April, nearly empty in summer heat.
