Whistlers Campground Jasper National Park
This sprawling campground sits 3 kilometers south of Jasper townsite in a mixed forest of spruce, fir, and aspen. With 781 sites spread across multiple loops, it’s the park’s main base camp for families and RV travelers. Full hookup sites accommodate big rigs, while unserviced sites suit tent campers and smaller setups. The place buzzes with activity during peak summer — book months ahead for July-August. Hot showers, flush toilets, and a camp store handle basic needs.
The shuttle system runs regularly to downtown Jasper and the SkyTram base, eliminating parking hassles. Sites 200-400 offer the most privacy and forest feel. Open mid-May to mid-October, weather permitting. Campfires allowed in designated rings with permits during fire season.
