Moonlight Bay Campground Tasmania
Set on a windswept beach with the Southern Ocean stretching to the horizon, this remote campground offers 15 sites right on the sand with basic facilities including drop toilets and picnic tables. The location provides incredible sunset views, excellent fishing, and a true sense of isolation on Tasmania’s wild coast. Sites are first-come-first-served and can fill up during holiday periods.
Access is via a rough gravel road that can be challenging in wet conditions. The area is exposed to strong ocean winds and weather can change rapidly. Best visited during Tasmania’s warmer months when conditions are more predictable.
