Cedros Island Beach Dispersed Camping
Cedros Island’s remote beaches offer some of Baja’s most pristine coastal camping, far from any development or crowds. Multiple beach sites stretch along the island’s protected eastern shore, with soft sand camping above the high tide line. The island supports a small fishing village but vast stretches remain untouched wilderness. Elephant seals haul out nearby in winter months. Fresh water is scarce — bring everything you need.
Access requires boat transport from Ensenada or arrangements with local fishermen from Punta Eugenia. No regular ferry service. Spring through fall offers the calmest seas for transport. Strong Pacific winds can make camping challenging in winter. GPS navigation essential as there are no marked trails or facilities.
