Kelly Dahl Campground
Solid USFS campground tucked into the spruce-fir forest just west of Nederland, with 46 sites that can handle everything from tents to 40-foot RVs. Sites are well-spaced with fire rings and picnic tables, and several offer direct views of Nederland Reservoir. The campground sits at 8,600 feet, so nights can be chilly even in summer. Popular with Front Range families, so reserve ahead for weekends.
Access is via a paved road from Nederland, making it accessible to any vehicle. Open typically late May through September, depending on snowpack. The reservoir offers decent fishing for brook and rainbow trout, and several hiking trails branch off from the campground into the Indian Peaks Wilderness.
