Warburton Roadhouse Caravan Park

Established Campground

After the Gunbarrel’s sand, corrugations and long empty stretches, Warburton Roadhouse is where most rigs finally stop. It sits in Warburton community on the Great Central Road and has a caravan park with powered and unpowered sites, basic amenities, and a roadhouse shop with fuel and meals. It’s one of very few places on this side of Western Australia where you can top up diesel, restock, and wash off a week of red dust in one stop. Expect a working outback roadhouse, not a resort. Prices reflect the distance, and stock can run thin before supply trucks arrive.

You’re on Aboriginal land, so a Ngaanyatjarra Lands permit is needed to travel through. Sort it out well before you leave Wiluna. Be respectful in the community, and don’t photograph people or sites without asking. Fuel types, opening hours, site pricing and facilities change, so call the roadhouse ahead and confirm before you commit to the run. Go in the cooler months, roughly April to September, because summer out here is brutal. Have a dirty day.

Fuel, showers and shade at the Gunbarrel's end.
