McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area Campground
This lesser-known BLM campground sits in a dramatic canyon setting with towering red sandstone walls and scattered pinyon pine. Fifteen sites spread along a seasonal creek bed, each with fire ring and picnic table. The area stays cooler than Moab proper due to canyon shade, making it a solid summer option when other areas bake. Water and flush toilets available at the entrance station.
Access is via 8 miles of good gravel road from Highway 141. Sites fill quickly during peak season, but shoulder months offer plenty of solitude. Popular with climbers heading to nearby crags and mountain bikers exploring the extensive trail network. Generator hours enforced 8am-6pm only.
