Geneva Creek Dispersed Camping

Creek-side sites in dense aspen groves with easy access to Guanella Pass and Mount Bierstadt.

Geneva Creek flows through thick aspen stands offering scattered dispersed sites along the drainage above Georgetown. Popular spots sit in groves that explode with golden color in late September, though summer provides cool shade and creek access. Sites range from pull-offs for single rigs to larger clearings accommodating multiple vehicles. Creek provides water (filter required), and most sites have existing fire rings from years of use.

Access via improved dirt road branching off Guanella Pass Road—passable by high-clearance 2WD in dry conditions but can get muddy after storms. Sites fill on fall color weekends and when Mount Bierstadt climbers camp overnight before dawn starts. Some washboard sections but generally well-maintained forest service road.
