Skull Valley Dispersed Camping Area

This BLM dispersed camping area sits in the wide-open Skull Valley between the Bradshaw and Weaver Mountains, offering classic Sonoran Desert camping with scattered Joshua trees and cholla. Sites are spread across gentle rolling terrain with good separation between groups, accommodating everything from small rigs to big motorhomes. The area sees moderate use during winter months but stays relatively quiet compared to more popular desert destinations.

Access is via maintained gravel roads off US-89, with most sites reachable by any vehicle though high-clearance helps for the better spots further from the main road. No services or shade, so come prepared with water and sun protection. Winter is prime season when temperatures are pleasant and wildflowers bloom after rain.
