Geiranger Camping — Geirangerfjord Waterfront Campground

Established Campground

Geiranger Camping is the go-to stop at the end of the Trollstigen-to-Geiranger run. Positioned on the fjord floor with the village directly around it, this is a proper serviced campground — marked pitches for vehicles and tents, toilet blocks, and shower facilities. It fills fast in July and August, no question about it. The views straight up to the Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls from your sleeping bag are real, not brochure fiction. Expect company in peak season — book ahead if you’re running tight on dates.

Access is paved all the way — Ørnevegen (the Eagle Road) deposits you right into the village. Season typically runs May through early October depending on snowmelt. Diesel and basic resupply are available in the village within walking distance. Cell signal is generally solid in the fjord basin.

Fjord-floor basecamp at the Eagle Road's end.
