This USFS campground sits along the crystal-clear Clarks Fork River, offering 6 sites that can handle most overlanding rigs. Sites are well-spaced with fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets. The river provides excellent cutthroat trout fishing and a natural soundtrack. Water is available from a hand pump. Sites fill quickly on summer weekends.
Access is via a short gravel spur off the Beartooth Highway. The campground sits at 7,000 feet elevation, so nights stay cool even in summer. Snow typically closes access from October through May. No reservations – first-come, first-served only.
