BLM Rabbit Ears Pass Dispersed Area
A collection of well-used dispersed sites scattered along Forest Service roads just off US Highway 40 near Rabbit Ears Pass. Sites range from pull-offs barely off the pavement to more secluded spots tucked into aspen groves, most offering expansive views across the Continental Divide. Popular with hunters in fall and motorcyclists in summer. Fire restrictions common during dry periods.
Access via several unmarked forest roads branching north and south from the highway between mileposts 154-158. Roads are generally high-clearance friendly but can get muddy during snowmelt. Elevation means cool nights even in summer and early snow closures, typically October through May.
