Patagonia Rest Area

This well-maintained Arizona DOT rest area provides a crucial break point for overlanders running the southern Arizona backcountry routes. Clean restrooms, covered picnic areas, and decent cell service make it a solid resupply and communication stop. The ramadas offer genuine relief from desert heat, and there’s enough space for big rigs to maneuver comfortably.

Located right on Highway 82, it’s easily accessible for any vehicle. The area can get busy with cross-border traffic, but turnover is quick. No overnight camping allowed, but it’s perfect for a meal break and trip planning before heading into the wilderness areas.
