Mineral Fork Trailhead
Small gravel parking area at the end of Mineral Fork Road serves as the launching point for hikes to Silver Lake, Twin Lakes, and several 13,000-foot peaks including Mount Raymond. Room for about 6-8 vehicles in the main lot, with additional roadside parking on the approach. No facilities beyond a basic trailhead sign and information kiosk.
The last 2 miles of Mineral Fork Road require high-clearance and careful driving over rocky, rutted sections. Snow blocks access typically November through June. Popular with serious hikers and peak baggers — arrive early on summer weekends to secure parking.
