Twenty-three sites scattered along South Mineral Creek in a high alpine setting surrounded by towering peaks. Sites are well-spaced with fire rings, tables, and vault toilets. Water comes from a hand pump. Gets busy July through September with hikers heading to Ice Lakes Basin and overlanders running the Alpine Loop. No hookups, generator hours 8am-6pm only.
Access via South Mineral Creek Road — rough dirt with some rocky sections requiring high-clearance. Road continues past campground toward Ice Lakes trailhead. Reserve ahead for summer weekends. Closes with first heavy snow, typically mid-October through May.
