Tenkiller State Park Cookson Bend Campground

Established Campground

This 42-site campground sits on a quiet cove of Lake Tenkiller, known for its exceptional water clarity and scuba diving opportunities. Sites include a mix of waterfront and wooded locations with full hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings. The park features a boat launch, fishing dock, and swimming beach. Tenkiller’s spring-fed waters maintain visibility up to 20 feet in some areas.

Located off Highway 82 east of Cookson. Popular with divers and boaters during summer months — waterfront sites book up weeks in advance. The campground stays open year-round but water may be turned off at individual sites during freezing weather. Swimming and diving best from May through September.
