Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre
The visitor centre sits at the entrance to Glenveagh’s 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, and bogland in northwest Donegal. Free parking for dozens of vehicles, clean toilets, and trail maps for the park’s network of walking routes. The castle shuttle runs seasonally, but overlanders can access multiple trailheads directly from the car park including the nature trail and Derrylahan Trail.
Open year-round but castle access limited in winter months. The approach road is narrow single-track with passing places — take it slow with larger rigs. No camping allowed in the park, but several options nearby in Letterkenny or Churchill.
