Warwoman Dell Picnic Area
Tucked in a hardwood cove along Warwoman Creek, this developed picnic area serves as a jumping-off point for serious backcountry exploration. The creek runs clear and cold year-round — great for water filtration and cooling off after dusty forest roads. Stone picnic tables and vault toilets, but no overnight camping allowed in the immediate area. Popular with day hikers but usually quiet by evening.
The real draw is trail access — Warwoman Creek Trail starts here and connects to the Chattooga River system. Forest Road 77 continues beyond the picnic area toward Rabun Bald, getting progressively rougher. Day parking only, but dispersed camping is legal on adjacent forest service land with proper distance from water.
