Camping Quinta da Cerejeira
A working quinta (farm estate) turned campground with terraced sites carved into hillsides overlooking the Minho River valley. The Portuguese family running it maintains grape vines and fruit trees between camping areas, creating a distinctly rural atmosphere. Sites have electrical hookups, clean shower blocks, and a small camp store selling local wine and basic supplies. The setting feels authentically Portuguese rather than touristy.
Located 3km off the N101 via narrow village roads that require attention in a large rig. The quinta produces its own vinho verde, and guests can often purchase bottles directly from the family. Busiest during Portuguese holidays and harvest season in September. Some sites are quite steep — scout before committing your rig to a spot.
