The park’s trading post sits near the main entrance and stocks everything from propane refills to trail maps of the surrounding Tennessee Valley region. They carry basic recovery straps, tire repair kits, and camping essentials alongside regional guidebooks and USGS quads. The staff knows the local back roads and can point you toward lesser-known spots along the Natchez Trace.

Open daily during park hours with extended summer schedules. Call ahead in winter as hours can be sporadic. They also rent canoes and kayaks if you want to explore Bear Creek after dusty trail days.
