Lake Baikal Listvyanka Visitor Center

Well-maintained visitor center overlooking Lake Baikal with detailed exhibits on the region’s geology and wildlife. Staff speak English and Russian, providing current information on road conditions, ferry schedules, and camping regulations around the lake. Excellent source for paper maps of the Great Baikal Trail network and Olkhon Island access routes. Small gift shop stocks basic camping supplies and regional guidebooks.

Located 65km southeast of Irkutsk on the paved Baikal Highway. Open daily April through October, weekends only in winter. Essential stop for overlanders planning to explore the lake’s eastern shore or tackle the Barguzin Ridge routes. Parking area can accommodate larger expedition vehicles.
