High mountain pass at 1,043 meters with stunning panoramic views over the Ionian Sea and Albanian Riviera coastline. The viewpoint has a large gravel parking area that can handle big rigs, plus a small restaurant and souvenir stands. On clear days, you can see all the way to Corfu. Gets busy with tour buses mid-morning through mid-afternoon in summer.
The road up is paved but steep with tight switchbacks — take it slow if you’re pulling a trailer. Often 10°C cooler than the coast, so pack layers. Winter snow can close the pass, typically December through February. The restaurant serves decent Albanian mountain food and strong coffee.
