Krkonošské Louky Dispersed Mountain Camping
A scattered collection of natural clearings in the spruce forest at about 1,200 meters elevation, accessed by a forest track that branches off the main Špindlerův Mlýn road. Stone fire rings mark the most popular spots, and a seasonal spring runs year-round about 400 meters downhill. Views across the Krkonoše range when the weather clears, but fog can roll in fast.
Forest service tolerates camping here despite technical restrictions — locals have used these spots for decades. Track is steep and rutted, requiring 4WD in wet conditions. Closes with first heavy snow, usually by November. Keep camps minimal and pack out everything.
High Sudeten meadow camps near Sněžka peak.
