Cromwell Top 10 Holiday Park

Established Campground

Nevis Road is rough, remote and short on amenities, and this is where you want to land at the Bannockburn end. Cromwell Top 10 is a full-service holiday park in Cromwell township with powered and unpowered sites, shared kitchen and bathroom blocks, and a laundry. It’s the place to wash the Nevis dust off, charge everything, and dump your waste before or after the run. Fuel, groceries and a few outfitters are all in town.

Cromwell is the Central Otago end of the route, so it works equally well as a staging point before the climb over the Carrick Range or as the finish-line camp. Summer and the Easter school holidays book out fast, and autumn is the busy season for the Central Otago wine and cycling crowd. Book ahead, and verify current site types, rates and facilities with the park directly. Nevis Road is also dry-weather only for most rigs and can be closed or high-water on the fords, so check conditions before you commit.
