Maverick Country Store Bluff

This Maverick outpost sits at the junction of Highways 191 and 163 in tiny Bluff, serving as the final resupply point for overlanders heading toward Monument Valley or the remote corners of Bears Ears. Standard convenience store fare plus surprisingly decent coffee, and the fuel pumps are newer and well-maintained. Staff knows the local roads and can point you toward current conditions on the backcountry routes.

Bluff itself is worth a quick walk-around – old Mormon settlement with some historic stone buildings and a decent cafe called Cow Canyon Trading Post nearby. Cell service is solid here, making it a good spot to download maps or check weather before disappearing into the slickrock wilderness.
