Cleghorn Pass Dispersed Camping

Multiple dispersed sites scattered along the ridgeline accessed via Cleghorn Ridge Road, offering commanding views across the desert floor. Sites range from pull-offs for single rigs to larger clearings that can handle small groups. Elevation at 4,000+ feet means cooler nights year-round and occasional snow in winter. Fire restrictions typically May through October.

Access via the technical Cleghorn Ridge trail or from pavement via Cleghorn Road — both routes require high-clearance. Sites fill quickly on weekends from LA/San Diego crowds. No facilities, pack out everything. Wind can be fierce on the exposed ridge.
