Spread across several square miles of desert hills and washes, this well-used BLM area provides dozens of established sites along old mining and utility roads. Sites vary from sandy wash bottoms to rocky ridge camps with views toward the San Bernardino Mountains. Most are suitable for large rigs, though the better viewpoint sites require picking your way up rougher spurs. Popular with weekend warriors due to easy I-15 access.
Main access via Crowder Canyon Road then various unmarked tracks. Can get crowded on weekends, especially during cooler months. Some sites show heavy use with fire rings and obvious camping spots. Watch for soft sand in washes after rain.
