GearHeads Outdoor Store — Main Street Moab Camping, Stove and Backcountry Gear Shop
GearHeads has sat on the corner of Main Street and Uranium Avenue (Hwy 191) since 1998. It’s a roughly 5,000-square-foot shop on the main floor of the Radcliffe Hotel building. It’s a gear store, not a 4×4 parts shop. Think camping, backpacking, canyoneering and boating gear, plus the odd stove part you need when your camp kitchen quits. If your rig needs lockers or a winch, look elsewhere in town. Come here for the camp side of the build.
Overlanders mostly stop for the free filtered water refills. They also come for the staff, who know the local terrain and can point you at the right gear before a Canyonlands or Hole-in-the-Rock run. Prices run on the tourist side, so stock up on bulk staples in a bigger town if you can. Hours were listed as daily, morning to night, but they shift by season, so verify ahead. Moab fills up in spring and fall. Have a dirty day.
Moab camp gear and free water since 1998.
